I’m Keri and I’m a twenty-two year old newlywed. I love a giant cup of coffee and a really good book. I’m an avid fan of the urban fantasy genre and I’m a nursing student. My little brother and sister are the cutest kids in the world. I love my husband more than chocolate and my mom is my best friend. I’m an old married woman who enjoys knitting and gossiping with my sister-in-law.

I’ve got two adorable german shepherds. One lovely three year old female named Harmony. And one rambunctious, hormone ridden boy named Tyr who’s one. They’re the babies in my house and they know it.

My sister was borne when I was seventeen, five months before my high school graduation. She was such a miracle for so many reasons to everyone in my family. My mom tried for my entire life to have another baby. I remember her taking my down to the laundry room and pulling all of these tiny little baby things out of the closet and showing me each one.

The day my mom showed me the positive pregnancy test changed all of our lives. So much for the better. She was beautiful and perfect. Then two years later along came my baby brother Jackie. God he was a charmer from the get go. Big blue eyes and strawberry blonde hair.

The differences in personalities delight and astonish me everyday. I’m very right brained. I don’t get math and my sense of direction is deplorable, but I read a book a day easily and I love everything about the english language. I’ve always been one of those people who live halfway inside their head. Fantasizing some scene that I desperatley need to get down on paper or remembering the book I was just reading.

But Riley she’s a whiz kid when it comes to math. She’s five years old and doing addition in her head. She loves to build things and while she’s just now getting the hang of the whole reading thing, she can take or leave a book. Her mind is beautiful though. She’s stubborn like I am and she’s the extrovert to my introvert. I’d also swear that she’s five going on fifteen.

Jackie is the lovebug in the family. He loves to cuddle and his favorite sissy time is when we blast the radio and dance. When he was little I was the only one who could ever get the little monster to sleep. I still remember the bounce/rock rythym that was the only thing to ever work. And sometimes when he’s sick, I can still turn on the music and catch that rythym to soothe him. I swear it makes me feel ten feet tall. I think he’s got a lot of my dreamer in him. I’m not really sure yet, but I know he’s inquisitive and caring and such a ladies man.

As I’m sure my rambling has told you, I’m completely head over heels for the both of them. When describing me though, I can’t forget to mention my husband of five months. He’s truly the most amazing man I’ve ever known.

He tells me I’m beautiful everyday and I never doubt that he loves me as fiercely as I love him. He’s my best friend, my soul mate and my confidant. And one day, God willing we’ll make beautiful babies of our own. All of the amazing people in my life inspire me to live better and happier than I did yesterday. I can only hope that someone takes a fraction of what they give me from the things I share in these posts. Thanks for reading!
